AEIS 2026 results are released online in three batches in December: Secondary 2 and 3 applicants can log in from 8.30am on Thursday 10 December, Primary 2 to 5 applicants from 8.30am on Thursday 17 December, and Secondary 1 applicants from Monday 21 December, a date the Ministry of Education (MOE) still marks as tentative. A child offered a place must report to that school within MOE's reporting period, which ends on 30 December for most levels, and starts school in January 2027. MOE says a child without a Dependant's Pass, Long-Term Visit Pass or Immigration Exemption Order must also obtain a Student's Pass before admission is confirmed.
If the result is unsuccessful, the next route into a mainstream school, for Primary 2 to 4 and Secondary 1 to 2 only, is the 2027 Supplementary AEIS (S-AEIS), which opens for applications in early January. More admission guides are in our learning topic.

When are the AEIS 2026 results released?
Outcomes appear on the AEIS Internet System (AEIS-IS). You log in with your child's passport number or Foreign Identification Number as printed on the SEAB entry proof, plus their date of birth; MOE says Microsoft Edge works best. Each window runs for five days and closes at 5pm.
Two rules on MOE's outcome page matter:
- The posting is final. Requests for a school transfer, or for the release of test results, will not be considered.
- Secondary offers close one door. A child who receives a secondary school offer through AEIS (or S-AEIS) cannot apply for later editions of Direct School Admission (DSA-Sec), the route in our DSA school preferences guide.
MOE's AEIS overview adds that no place is assured, since admission depends on test performance, and that placement depends on vacancies and, where possible, your declared residential area.
What should we do if our child gets a place?
The rules are MOE's; the order is ours, deadlines first.
- Save the outcome letter on the day the window opens; MOE puts the detailed reporting instructions in it.
- Contact the school inside the reporting period, or MOE says the place may be rescinded: by 30 December for Primary 2 to 5 and Secondary 2 and 3, or by early January for Secondary 1.
- Check your child's pass. MOE's outcome page says that with a valid Dependant's Pass, Long-Term Visit Pass or Immigration Exemption Order, admission is confirmed on reporting. Without one, the school issues a Student's Pass Registration Acknowledgement Letter, and MOE advises applying to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) as soon as possible.
- Find the vaccination records now. MOE's studying in Singapore page says children aged 12 and below, not born in Singapore and applying for a pass such as the Student's Pass, must meet the diphtheria and measles requirements, with a Verification of Vaccination Requirement document from the Health Promotion Board before the pass application.
- Name a caregiver the school can reach: a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident over 21, or the child's parent if they are in Singapore.
- Raise Mother Tongue early. Every mainstream student must take a Mother Tongue Language; an exemption from Chinese, Malay or Tamil is requested through the principal after admission and decided case by case.
- Plan the first fortnight. Check our 2027 school terms page, then sort transport and after-school care with our guides to comparing school-bus services and student-care centres near school.
For primary entrants, MOE says every international student admitted to primary school must complete the PSLE to move on to its secondary schools; our PSLE Achievement Levels explainer shows how that score works.

What will school fees be in 2027?
The 2027 figures below are MOE's published fees-checker figures, not an announcement: the online checker now offers 2027 alongside 2026, and we found no MOE press release or statement on 2027 fees. The fees page (updated 16 October 2026) says international students' fees include GST, while GST on Citizen and Permanent Resident fees is subsidised by MOE. For government and government-aided schools, the 2027 monthly school fee plus miscellaneous fee is:
- Primary: Permanent Resident S$330 plus S$13; international student (ASEAN) S$595 plus S$14.17; international student (non-ASEAN) S$1,035 plus S$14.17.
- Secondary: Permanent Resident S$680 plus S$20; ASEAN S$1,090 plus S$21.80; non-ASEAN S$2,190 plus S$21.80.
If those figures hold, 2027 breaks a run of three yearly rises: MOE's October 2023 release raised non-citizen fees every January from 2024 to 2026, taking the non-ASEAN primary fee from S$885 to S$1,035. Autonomous secondary schools add an autonomous school fee, which the checker puts at S$3 to S$18 a month (S$19.62 shown for international students, GST included). Independent, specialised and special education schools charge different fees, listed on their own websites.
GIRO deductions fall on the 26th of each month from February to December. January and February are billed together in February, and MOE spreads the annual fee over 12 months, school holidays included.
Two worked examples. These households are fictional; the figures are MOE's checker figures and the arithmetic is ours. The AEIS application fees (S$340 primary, S$630 secondary) carry GST at the prevailing rate, which IRAS puts at 9%.
- The Santos family, from the Philippines (ASEAN), daughter starting Primary 4: AEIS fee S$370.60 with GST, already paid. The 2027 monthly fee is S$609.17, so the February GIRO deduction is S$1,218.34 and the year S$7,310.04.
- The Mehta family, from India (non-ASEAN), son starting Secondary 2 at a school that is not autonomous: AEIS fee S$686.70. The monthly fee is S$2,211.80, the February deduction S$4,423.60 and the year S$26,541.60.
What if the AEIS result is unsuccessful?
The S-AEIS admits children to Primary 2 to 4 and Secondary 1 to 2 in the same school year, and MOE again says admission depends on test performance. Applications open in early January 2027, tests are in end February or early March (tentative), and successful applicants start school in April or May. The application fees are the same as for AEIS.
- Primary 5 and Secondary 3 applicants: the S-AEIS has no entry at either level. MOE's S-AEIS eligibility page says a child unsuccessful for Primary 5 in the 2026 AEIS may apply for Primary 4 if within the permissible age, with a CES score from a B1 Preliminary for Schools test taken within 12 months of applying. The pages we opened describe no equivalent step for Secondary 3.
- English scores: primary applicants need a Cambridge English Qualifications result from a test taken from January 2026, per MOE's S-AEIS application page.
- Age limits: MOE's studying in Singapore page says a child should be no more than two years older than the appropriate age for the level as at 1 January (7 to 7+ for Primary 2, 13 to 13+ for Secondary 2).
- What is tested: MOE's S-AEIS test details page lists Mathematics of the level below for primary, and English and Mathematics of the level below for secondary.
- Private schools: MOE's admissions page says to approach the school directly.
Common questions
When are AEIS 2026 results released?
Online on the AEIS-IS from 8.30am on 10 December 2026 for Secondary 2 and 3, from 8.30am on 17 December for Primary 2 to 5, and from 21 December (tentative) for Secondary 1.
Does my child need a Student's Pass after getting an AEIS place?
Only without a valid Dependant's Pass, Long-Term Visit Pass or Immigration Exemption Order. In that case, MOE says, the school issues a registration letter and you should apply to ICA as soon as possible.
How much are primary school fees for international students in 2027?
MOE's fees checker lists S$595 a month for ASEAN and S$1,035 for non-ASEAN international students, plus a S$14.17 miscellaneous fee, the same as in 2026. These are checker figures, not an announcement.
What can we do if our child does not get an AEIS place?
Apply for the 2027 S-AEIS, which opens in early January 2027 for Primary 2 to 4 and Secondary 1 to 2, with tests in end February or early March (tentative) and, if successful, a start in April or May. Admission depends on test performance.
